National Apprenticeships Week at R&M Williams
At R&M Williams we are committed to supporting future generations into the construction industry and we are a huge supporter of new entry level individuals who want to join our team and learn all of the wonderful trades that we offer as a company.
For National Apprenticeships Week (5-11 February 2024) we would like to highlight and thank our current apprentices within the business:
- Dan Booth (images 1 and 2 below) and Harlie Means (image three below), Apprentice Plumbers work with Wayne Howells, our Senior Mechanical Manager, on projects in Swansea and the surrounding areas.
- Mitchell Jarman is our 3rd year apprentice carpenter (image 4 below). He works under the supervision of Gareth Brooks, senior carpenter and Site Manager.
- Ellis Sims and Ryan Williams, Plastering Apprentices from the fantastic shared apprenticeship scheme Cylfe Cymru
- Rhys Maddocks, Painting Apprentice. Morgan Thomas and Jay Ryan. carpenter apprentices, all taken on directly with us.
- Daniel Williams-Booth, Plumbing Apprentice and James Jones an Electrical Apprentice work on our Cardiff Kitchens project
- Harvey Bailey and Kal O’Donnell, both apprentice quantity surveyors – both from Cyfle’s shared apprenticeship scheme.
Harlie was involved in emergency maintenance at one of the charities in Swansea that we support, Matt’s Kitchen, in Swansea when they had some plumbing issues. This charity supports homeless and low income individuals with all aspects of day to day life including hot meals and a warm shower.
Giving our apprentices opportunities to work in all environments is part of our rounded commitment to their learning, not just about the trade but about the community.
