Works consisted of the reconstruction of two of the external towers; reconstructed in ‘handmade’ bricks and stonework to match the existing. Internally, the building was stripped back and refurbished, the first floor ‘Ballroom’ was re-established as a function hall with what was once Europe’s largest sprung dance floor. At ground floor level, there is both office accommodation and exhibition space along with a Crèche. Externally, the building was re-roofed with Welsh slate and flat roofs overlaid with a single-ply membrane.
