Community Benefits

At R&M Williams, we always look at ways by which we can enhance the services we provide by contributing to the communities in which we work to stimulate and regenerate local economy. In our 50 years of trading, we have delivered over 250 apprenticeships and countless community engagements and charitable donations.

We provide additional services above and beyond the requirements of the contract to stimulate the areas in which we work. This has involved the following;

  • Holding Open Day events where we can get to know the local residents and they can get to know what we do
  • Recruitment from with the local community and provision of required training
  • Long term employment opportunities to unemployed local people which usually involves retraining, upskilling and Health & Safety training
  • Recruitment of apprentices from the local area
  • Work experience and short term training opportunities to the local community, where they may learn new skills e.g. basic carpentry skills. R&M Williams provides written evidence of their attendance and skills shown
  • Supporting and sponsoring local events
  • Involvement with local colleges to encourage and recruit new entrants into construction
  • Donation of labour/materials to provide much needed refurbishments within local communities
