Following the successful completion of the Bristol Airport Administration Building (Lulsgate House), we were engaged for a new-build, 4-storey crew building, which would Incorporate ground floor security, bag search areas and three floors of cellular office space for the airports’ many Airlines and partners (e.g. Easy Jet, Tui, DHL , Border Force, Thompson, Ryanair) and Offices for Bristol Airport Ground Maintenance staff and security.

Each area was fitted out according to specific needs of each sub-tenant, benefitting from individual serviced and metered areas.

In addition we built a roof-top plant area and a sky bridge walkway to adjoin the building to the terminal building via airside walkway on the second floor.

With building works so close to the terminal building itself, with 10m passengers going through the airport every year, traffic and access management to site were crucial in ensuring works take place safely and securely. This was the third project we delivered for Bristol Airport Development, so we used our knowledge to inform our approach. With exacting traffic management, strict delivery scheduling and close coordination with the Airport Logistics staff, we delivered a state of the art building while ensuring smooth operation of airport services continue as normal.

The project was Highly Commended in the LABC Commercial Building Section.
