Community Focused

Our Commitment

Our commitments define who we are, and who we want to become, as a business and as a community.

Mark Williams

Chairman

Being sustainable

We all want to live in a cleaner, better world, and as a responsible business, sustainability is key to safeguarding our world for the future. We are committed to:

  • Being fully Carbon-neutral by 2030

  • Achieving 0% to landfill by 2030 (currently at 2%)

  • Being exclusively green-tech powered in our offices

  • Recycling used vehicles, with in-house mechanics

  • Empowering our office staff to work flexibly, for a greener commute

Being independent and flexible

We are an independent business which started off as a small painting and decorating enterprise, and has grown into one of the leading principal contractors in South Wales.

Through our commitment to quality, reliability, professionalism and flexibility, under Mark Williams’ leadership, and with the aid of our Directors and experienced workforce, the original remit of the business expanded into new areas. From first meeting through to final finishes, we always strive to understand the client’s expectations – and then exceed them.

With our talented and skilled operatives and our trusted supply chain, we have completed:

  • Award-winning Listed building refurbishments
  • Large-scale, long-term planned maintenance projects for local councils and housing associations
  • Design and build contracts for commercial, airport and medical premises, recognised for sustainability, innovation and craftsmanship in using modern construction methods

Being a great neighbour

Construction work is everywhere – and it can be disruptive in any neighbourhood. As part of our commitment to being a great neighbour, we register all eligible projects to the Considerate Constructor Scheme.

We’ve won several awards from the CCS over the years, and each and every one of our eligible sites are inspected to make sure we live up to their ethos around enhancing appearance, respecting the community, protecting the environment, safeguarding operatives and the public, and caring for our workforce.

Being a force for good in the community

We don’t just think local, we are local.

In over 55 years of trading, we delivered over 250 apprenticeships and countless community engagements, projects and charitable donations.

We have office staff in Cardiff and Neath. Our recruitment strategy has been to ensure we have permanent staff across Wales, so we can depend on their local knowledge about the area and the community.

We strive to go above and beyond contract requirements, giving back to communities that are not just where we work, but where we live:

  • We hold open days to let people know what we’re doing and get to know them better

  • We recruit locally and invest in the continuous professional development of our people

  • We offer employment opportunities to long-term unemployed people, including where retraining and up-skilling is required

  • We invest in the future by recruiting local students for apprenticeships, traineeships and work experience
  • We support and sponsor local events and organisations

  • We get involved with local schools and colleges, delivering Health and Safety talks and encouraging young people to consider a future in construction
  • We donate labour/materials to provide much needed refurbishments within local communities
