This contract valued at £1.8mill was for the over render of a 12 storey 1960's pre-cast concrete tower block including window replacement, the installation of a two storey 'sky lounge' on the 13th floor and introduction of Green technologies such as photovoltaic 'Bri-Solars' and roof mounted wind turbines.

Solar shading was an issue for many residents in south facing apartments and our in house M&E division, R&M Services proposed the installation of photovoltaic Bri-Solars which not only dealt with solar gain issues but also provided the RSL with a source of renewable energy to service thieir communal areas which also in time will provide revenue after initial expenditure has been recouped.

The project team worked tirelessly with Bron Afon team to ensure the works were completed on time and with minimal disruption throughout the contract, the block was 100% occupied. R&M Williams fitted out the computer suite within the sky lounge to provide tenants with an internet cafe facility, this was paid for wholly by RMW.
